Homecoming

Haley went to the Homecoming dance this past weekend with her boyfriend Nick.  Isn't she beautiful? I could be biased, but she really is beautiful. 

Monday Night Football

I love Monday Night Football.  Ahhh, I love Monday Night Football.  I'm not the die-hard football fanatic that some in my family may be.... You know who you are!   Some of my most comforting childhood memories are of a warm, yet crisp September evening, laying on the couch, with my feet tucked under my moms leg, feeling safe and cozy... all the lights off but for the glow of the TV... and the soothing, almost white-noise sound of Monday Night football playing in the background.   If I re-wrote that song from the sound of music..."These are are few of my favorite things"... one of my lyrics would be "falling asleep to Monday Night Football".  OK, so I never claimed to be a lyricist.   Of course there was always the occasional time when I'd just be drifting off to sleep and getting violently jolted awake by the sound of my mom, screaming at the top of her lungs "Get that sucker!" That would be her screaming because someone broke a tackle that should not have.  I love that too.
